Posted on 02/20/2025
During their February meeting, Indian Lake Board of Education members hired a new treasurer to lead the district's financial future.
Brady Hipsher accepted the position of district Assistant Treasurer. He will begin work April 1st under the direction of long-time Indian Lake Treasurer Coleen Reprogle to learn the particulars of the IL district. Hipsher will then take over as district Treasurer once Reprogle officially retires at the end of July.
He is excited to become a Laker and he knows he has big shoes to fill.
"I really think that Indian Lake is a great community. They come together when they need to and I really appreciate everything
they stand for." Hipsher continued. "I'm really looking forward to learning from somebody (Reprogle) who is a seasoned veteran. I look to learn from her and, hopefully, provide the same financial outcomes in the future."
Hipsher is a 2019 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School. He earned his finance degree from the University of Northwestern Ohio in 2022. Since then he has served as the Assistant Treasurer at the Auglaize County ESC and currently Bath Local Schools.
During the public participation portion of the meeting, the parents of an ILHS student presented information regarding possible bullying. The board plans to investigate.
Finally, board members voted to accept the proposed calendar for the 2025-26 school year that was chosen by a popular vote of staff members.
The board will meet again on March 17th at 6:30 pm.
