The Indian Lake Board of Education wrapped up business for 2025 with a quick regular meeting recently.
The Board recognized five Lakers who recently earned All State Honors in football after the team's historic run to the State Final Four. Brodey Reisinger and Aaron Rapp were named First Team All Ohio, Brady Golliday earned Second Team All Ohio. Franklin Kinney and Avery Pequignot were named Honorable Mention. Pequignot was also recognized for making the State's First Team All Ohio in Soccer.
In other regular business, board members accepted $13,000 from the Indian Lake Athletic Boosters as a donation to the IL Athletic Department. In addition, they approved the Quiz Bowl trip to Chicago in the spring, approved the ILHS Course Description book for 2026-27 and updated the district's emergency operations plan as required by law every five years.
The board will meet for an organizational meeting on January 12th at 5 pm in the Board Office. Board President Gabe Wickline will serve as president pro-tempore for that gathering. During that meeting, board members will elect officers and set the meeting schedule for the rest of 2026. The regular meeting for January will follow on the 12th at 5:30 pm.
