The sound of beautiful music filled the ILHS Auditorium during the recent 2024 Spring All Bands Concert.
The 5th Grade Band, the 6th Grade Band, the 7/8th Grade Band, the ILHS Jazz Band and the ILHS Symphonic Band showed of their hard work this school year. They each performed a lovely collection of pieces to showcase what they've learned.
ILHS Band Director Jason Fauley thanked his four senior band members for their help in leading the program through this difficult year. Seniors are Emily Harford, Isaac Meyers, Ellie Mouser and Marissa Shields. He presented Isaac Meyers with the Semper Fidalis Award and Ellie Mouser with the John Philip Sousa Award.
The Bands are directed by Mr. Jason Fauley and Mrs. Morissa Sweeney.
When the ILHS Symphonic Band traveled to Hershey, Pennsylvania for a contest recently, they took a tour of the Flight 93 Memorial nearby. So moved were they that they dedicated their final song of the night to the brave passengers and crew of United Flight 93.
