Members of the Indian Lake High School Class of 2022 got one last R-Factor lesson before they left campus with their diplomas in hand.

A total of 111 seniors graduated in Commencement Ceremonies held in Laker Stadium Sunday afternoon. The stands were packed with family members and friends, excited to see the program.
Indian Lake Class of 1999 alumnus and member of the 2002 Ohio State National Championship Football Team Jeremy Miller was the commencement speaker. He spoke about several R-Factor principles the graduates are familiar with from the past several years of high school. He discussed the importance of making the best use of your time and controlling how to react to situations you have no control over. He urged the graduates to adjust and adapt to situations that make them uncomfortable, just as he did as a member of the scout team defense for Ohio State Football.
"Had I given in to my initial feeling of 'what am I doing here?' I would have missed out on three of the greatest years of my life. The friends I made, the relationships I had, the experiences that ultimately ended with a national championship, none of that would have occurred for me." He continued, "That experience has served me well all my life. Do not ever let the moment ever be too big. It is important you build up that resiliency."

Senior Class President Cheyenne Hill also addressed her classmates. She took a quick trip down memory lane with her high-achieving class.
"We wanted to do anything and everything. We set goals, won titles, put numbers on banners and broke records. Throughout all of this, we were still just as dedicated in the classroom. And it was in those classrooms that we found ourselves. We built inseparable bonds with each other and relationships with staff members."

As is tradition, Indian Lake Guidance Counselors Greg Tuttle and Alice Weygant revealed the Top Ten students based on grade point average for the Class of 2022.

They are: (10) KaLynn Miller, (9) Kaleb Hurley, (8) Kendall Cotterman, (7) Allison Culp-Salutatorian and Valedictorians Dylan Carter, Shania Fruchey, Trenton Fulkerson, Cheyenne Hill, Luke Jackson and Easton Klauer.

Hill led the seniors in the turning of their tassels and hat toss, then they stepped out of the stadium as ILHS Graduates.

Prior to commencement, ILHS seniors hosted a baccalaureate ceremony/slide show in the auditorium.

The ILHS 2022 Commencement Ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 22nd at 2 pm at Laker Stadium. There is no limit on the number of family members who may attend this exciting event.

Currently the forecast looks favorable for an outdoor ceremony. However, in case of inclement weather, we will move Graduation into the ILHS Main Gym.
The commencement speaker will be 1999 ILHS Graduate Jeremy Miller.

We very much look forward to welcoming our Class of 2022 family and friends and celebrating the many accomplishments of our Indian Lake Seniors!

Jeremy Miller is a 1999 graduate of Indian Lake H.S.  He went on to The Ohio State University where he was also a member of the football team and part of the 2002 BCS National Championship team.  After college he was hired by the Dublin Police Department and completed the basic peace officer academy at the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2004.  He has been with the Dublin PD for almost nineteen years.  Jeremy was chosen as the department’s officer of the year in 2014 and is also a field training officer for new officers and part of the bike unit.  Jeremy is married to Katie and has three boys.  In his spare time, he enjoys boating, camping, bow hunting and snow skiing.
