Lake Effect Day Alert! Wednesday, October 2nd is Lake Effect Day!
Our theme for October is PRESS PAUSE. Did you know that you can influence things that are out of your control through your attitude, actions, and words? We will explore what one group of people did to affect positive change in things beyond their control in our lesson this month.
Theme: Even though we cannot control others, head wear is one way to influence people. Wear a school-appropriate hat, beanie, headband, etc. that may (positively) influence others (sports teams, activities, brands, etc.).
Our first Lake Effect Day is Wednesday, September 4th. The theme is to understand what culture is and what impact we have on it. The goal is to reintroduce the Lake Effect and culture to students. The dress theme is Above the Line shirts or other Laker apparel.
Lake Effect Days feature a special teaching period for students in all grade levels to focus on the principles of E+R=O; how I React to Events in my life determines the Outcome.
Students are encouraged to wear their Above the Line shirt OR to participate in the theme days that will be announced for each Lake Effect Day this year.
