The Indian Lake Board of Education considered standard operating procedures during their March regular meeting.
The board approved several policy revisions, the annual FFA trip to the State Convention in April and a number of donations.
Superintendent Dr. Rob Underwood explained the significance of the Business Advisory Council, which combines school administrators with area business leaders to better prepare young people for the workforce.
"Specifically, we just hosted the Career Expo here at Indian Lake High School with 70 or 80 local businesses, so that's a great event for our students. The BAC is also in charge of the Career Speaker Series for our College and Career Readiness students and they highlight the 3E approach to life after high school."
Underwood continued, "We're really excited this year as it appears that Senator Jon Husted is going to be at Indian Lake for the 3E Signing Day in May."
Finally, the board also accepted the resignation of ILHS Science Teacher Karen Cordova and ILMS special education teacher Randy Page. Both those positions will be posted.
The Indian Lake Board of Education will meet again on Monday, April 20th.
