#3E Enrolled, Enlisted or Employed Signing Day
Posted on 05/07/2026
Members of the Class of 2026 have made the hard decisions and they put pen to paper to make those choices official for now!
As part of the "3E" initiative to get all senior students in Logan County either Enrolled, Enlisted or Employed, the Logan County Collaborative staged the 2026 Signing Day at Indian Lake High School recently.
Students signed a certificate declaring whether they are headed to an institute of higher education, to the Armed Forces or starting work at an area business upon graduation.
Shoreline Construction owner and 2006 ILHS graduate Derek Gillespie was the featured speaker and he focused on building your momentum.
"The truth is there isn't one right path after high school. Success doesn't come which E you choose, success comes from what you do after you choose it. The people who succeed are the ones that show up everyday, stay consistent and build momentum." He continued, "Once momentum starts doors begin to open, opportunities appear, confidence will grow and over time small actions will compound into something much bigger than you ever imagined."
Logan County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ben Vollrath also spoke encouraging each student to know they have a special purpose.
"You don't have to know your purpose, you don't have to have it all laid out yet. That's what this first step really is. You are making your "for now" commitment when you sign your name."
Students posed for pictures in their respective Enrolled, Enlisted and/or Employed groups, then individually signed certificates from the Logan County Collaborative to mark the occasion and make their choice official.
We wish you much success, Indian Lake Class of 2026!
