Students were able to sing out and celebrate a year of success in the face of adversity during the 2024 Indian Lake Spring Choral Concert!The 6th Grade Choir, the 7/8th Grade Choir and the ILHS Chorale performed for a full house recently in the ILHS Auditorium. The Chorale celebrated their Superior (I) rating at the OMEA State Contest and acknowledged their many seniors with the traditional rose ceremony. Each senior presented a rose to someone in the audience who has supported them during their career in music.
ILHS Senior Chorale members are: Rebecca Bihn, Eva Carney, Porscha Davis, Logan Duncan, Dawson Finfrock, Maddux Hall, Samantha Johnson, Burke Lillard, AdeLynn Martin, Chase McMillen, Grant McPherson, Hannah Metzger, Isaac Meyers, Autumn Miller, Makayla Motter, Brody Parsell, Maggie Reese, Massie Romanowski, Caiden Schwer, Gillian Taylor, Camdon Tuttle, Carmyn Weiner, Heath Wilson and Landen Wisener
Senior Brody Parsell was presented with the National School Choral Award and the Director's Award went to senior Hannah Metzger.
Choir and Chorale Director Tracey Notestine expressed her gratitude to the many choir directors around the region who encouraged the OMEA to allow the ILHS Chorale to sing at the state contest after missing the district event a day after the tornado hit.
She also thanked the students for working so hard through adversity and earning the top rating.
The ILHS Chorale and 7-8th Grade ILMS Choir are directed by Mrs.Tracey Notestine. The 6th Grade Choir is directed by Mr. Jason Fauley.
