Winter Walkers at ILHS are getting a bonus!!
Because participation has been consistently high, ILHS will remain open for Winter Walking for an extra two weeks. The program technically ends on March 9th. However, school officials have agreed to allow walking through March 23rd. Special thanks to ILHS evening custodian Lori Samples for making sure our walkers are able to keep on moving into spring!
Winter Walking at ILHS is back to help you reach your fitness goals for the new year!
The program will begin again on Tuesday, January 3, 2023. This year, ILHS will be open every Monday through Thursday from 5-8 pm. The walking route will be modified slightly if there are evening sports or music events happening in the school. Only when school is cancelled for inclement weather will Winter Walking not be held. This is the fifth year that ILHS, Mary Rutan Hospital and the Bellefontaine Parks and Recreation have held the free walking program at ILHS on weeknights. The Winter Walking Program is free and open to the public.
