The Indian Lake Board of Education learned about a new scholarship opportunity exclusive to our district and made plans to continue in the OFCC program.
During their regular November meeting, Board members approved a resolution for the district to extend participation in the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission's Expedited Local Partnership Program.
Superintendent Dr. Rob Underwood explains.
"Really what this is just a continuation of the master planning process and it goes all the way back to the building of the elementary school and bringing all three buildings onto one campus here at Indian Lake. This will allow us to engage in an enrollment projection study through the State of Ohio to give us a footprint of where we're headed so that we can make building decisions down the road."
In addition, Lois Stoll from the Logan County Education Foundation presented information pertaining to the newly-created Indian Lake Legacy Scholarship. She explained that many families and individuals are willing to help fund scholarships, but many lack the large sum needed to initiate a scholarship fund on their own. The Indian Lake Legacy Scholarship sets up a scholarship fund that can accept any size donation to go toward the scholarship. Gifts can be named or anonymous. The Indian Lake Board of Education will meet again on Monday, December 15th at 6:30. pm in the board office for their final regular meeting of 2025.
