The staff at Indian Lake Schools is eager to continue building on the accomplishments made last school year!
The entire staff gathered recently for an all-district Opening Day meeting in the ILHS cafeteria. Indian Lake Superintendent Dr. Rob Underwood gave a bus garage and general facilities update. He also introduced our theme for the year--"All Boats Have a Place at the Lake!"
He explained, "I think we are expanding on the idea that we're in this together, but you can be unique and we want everyone to realize their full potential."
The rest of Opening Day was spent doing Behavioral Leadership Professional Development with Tony DeRose, who teaches Scott Irvin's classroom management techniques.
Dr. Underwood commented on the pd, "You guys understand that our kids won't be educated if we don't tend to all of their needs and you do that on a daily basis."
During Opening Day, Indian Lake Schools also introduced new staff members and recognized long-time staff members for their years of service with special awards.

ILHS- Karen Cordova (5 years), Alice Darrough (5 years), Amber King (10 years), Brian Levington (10 years), Lisa Seeley (20 years), Jason Fauley (20 years), Nathaniel Tennant (20 years), Ryan Stanford (25 years). Christina Oakley (25 years), Morissa Sweeney (25 years), Ed Rogers (25 years) and Deb Metzger (25 years)
ILMS-Katy Taylor (10 years), Lindsay Imm (10 years), Amanda Fulkerson (10 years), Fawn Schulz (10 years), Rebecca Dotson (10 years), Karen Davis (10 years), Danielle Even (10 years), Todd Dietz (20 years), Chris Burden (25 years), Mariann Reese (25 years) and Shawn Davie (30 years)
