Indian Lake staff members learned about the upcoming health center on campus and grant opportunities, among other training, during the 2-hour delay for staff development.
The entire IL staff gathered in the ILHS Auditorium to hear a presentation from Tara Bair from Community Health and Wellness Partners. They plan to open a health clinic at Indian Lake Schools later this fall. The center will be housed at ILMS and completely optional for students who received referrals from the school nurse. More information on the clinic and an opening date will be released in the coming weeks.
Educators also learned about local teacher grants and how to apply from Karen Sorreles at the Logan County Education Foundation. She encouraged them to apply early and often. Applications are due November 4th and will be awarded in December.
