Indian Lake Elementary School students got busy with grocery games during a recent Family Fun Night at Community Markets in Lakeview.
Students and their family members were able to participate in a scavenger hunt, practice math skills by weighing food items on the produce scales, calculate the cost of the items they were searching for, bowl in the produce aisle, make food crafts and more. The Mary Rutan Hospital Healthy Habits team was onhand to help discover foods and activities for fitness and the Lakeview and Indian Joint Fire Departments greeted students outside in front of their fire trucks.
Students were also able to decorate special grocery bags for veterans and win door prizes. Each participating student received a cookie and a book to take home. The store also offered tours of the areas not normally seen by customers and coupons!

The event will run from 6-7:30 pm and will include math games, Leprechaun search, scavenger hunt, cookies, coupons, local first responders, tours of the store, crafts for veterans, more treats and a chance to win a ham for Easter!
