The Indian Lake Spring Choir Concert was a culmination of pieces that all levels of music education have been mastering this school year.
The concert featured the the ILMS 6th Grade Choir, directed by Jason Fauley, and the ILMS 7/8th Grade Choir and the ILHS Chorale, both directed by Tracey Notestine.
During the ILHS Chorale performance, Notestine recognized the group's senior members. Then, as is tradition, each senior presented a rose to one or two people who have influenced and encouraged them either in music or life. Notestine also handed out special awards including the National Choral Award to Daniel Wahl and the Director's Award to Adeline Robinson.
Throughout the concert, folks in the crowd passed a hat for a free will donation to the IL Music Department for the purchase of new choir robes. The current choir robes are more than 20 years old.
Director Tracey Notestine presented shadow boxes containing remnants of the old robes as gifts to each graduating senior.
The seniors are: Madison Burris, Jade Butler, Lyric Clay, Quest Clay, Colten Corcoran, Cameron Finfrock, Adilynn Hatfield, Calvin Knief, Mia Kpabe, Jayden Martin, Evin Parker, Adeline Robinson, Halle Roby, Cambria Tuttle and Daniel Wahl.
