This year's ILES Veterans Appreciation Display is up for all to see just in time for Veterans Day!
Dozens of Indian Lake Elementary School students and staff members brought in photos of their relatives and friends who have served in the Armed Forces. Those photos are now proudly displayed in the ILES Cafeteria for students to check out during their lunchtime. ILES guidance Counselor Mrs. Onyema notes that students may still bring in pictures if they have a loved one they'd like to recognize on the wall for the month of November.
Indian Lake Elementary School has two upcoming Veterans Day projects!
First, ILES will collect money during the week of November 4-8. Money will be sent to the AmVets Post 39 in Lakeview to purchase items for care packages that will be sent to ILHS graduates serving on the military.
Second, please send in a photo of a loved one who is serving or who did serve in the military for a special display in our cafeteria. Place your child's name on the back of the picture and we will make sure it gets returned.
