New Look Coming to Front of ILHS!

With the gym floor complete and the roof repairs finalized, work is now underway to make repairs and upgrades to the front of Indian Lake High School!
This week, crews began tearing off the metal lip above the main entrance that extends along the front of ILHS. As expected, this exposed the original wood that is rotted beyond repair. This part of the school has experienced leaks over the years and the project must be done in order to improve the flashing on the new roof.
Over the next month, crews will remove the damaged areas and replace the metal with a new parapet wall that matches materials used on the auditorium. Indian Lake Superintendent Dr. Rob Underwood says the design will modernize the front of Indian Lake High School and seal it tight. The entire project is estimated to cost the district around $106,000.
