There are several new staff members at Indian Lake Schools for the 2026-27 school year!

Mrs. Devanne Bentley is now answering the call as ILHS Secretary. She comes to us from the Springfield area. She worked as a probation officer for many years in Fairborn, then managed the office for their family business.
Devanne is a Northwestern High School alum. She went on to graduate from Ohio Christian University and later earned a Masters Degree in Human Services from Liberty University. She says after selling their business, she was looking for a job where she could make an impact on young people using her skills to guide students toward good choices.
Mrs. Bentley is happily married with two children. Outside of work, she enjoys running and spending time outdoors with her family. They are currently renovating a cabin in Kentucky, where they hope to create lasting memories!
Mrs. Ashley Ernest is on the cutting edge of new innovations for ILHS students. Ashley is the new Indian Lake High School/Ohio Hi Point Career Center Technology Instructor teaching Introduction to IT, Computer Programming, Web Design, AND Game Design. She also teaches Career Exploration with ILMS 7th graders.
Mrs. Ernest comes to us from the Ada area and she has worked in private business Information Technology for more than a decade. She also worked as a substitute tech teacher at Apollo Career Center. So far, Ashley enjoys connecting with students. She firmly believes in teaching the basics of IT and the reasons behind it before launching into AI.
Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Ernest and her husband love to go camping and play board games.
Mrs. Natalie LeMay is excited to be back in education. She is the new Third Grade Paraprofessional to work with students. Before staying home with her four young children, Natalie spent nine years as a Kindergarten and First Grade teacher in Indiana. She also taught preschool at Discovery Center for one year. Natalie says she loves having less stress as an aide and she even likes cafeteria duty, so far!
Mrs. LeMay grew up in Van Wert, Ohio, and attended Anderson University where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. She and her husband lived and worked in Fort Wayne, Indiana before moving to Logan County to be closer to family. Outside of school she enjoys hiking, gardening and baking.
After coaching at Indian Lake High School for years, Mr. Joe Teague is finally fulfilling his dream and making good on an important promise. When Teague became a first-time father, he had to drop out of college to support his young family. He promised his sons he would finish his degree once they graduated and now he has! Mr. Teague spent 31 years as a Honda associate at several area manufacturing facilities. During his last few years, he also worked double to earn his Bachelors Degree in Education from the Ohio State University. Now he’s an ILHS Paraprofessional in charge of both the ILMS and ILHS Media Centers. He says working with kids has always been his passion!
Coach Teague has been a familiar face at Indian Lake for nearly two decades. He began coaching track and field in 2011 and joined the football coaching staff soon after. It is great to have him around full time! He’s been married to his Vicki for 16 years and they raised five kids together. They have five grandchildren and are expecting more!
After many years and adventures around the world, Mr. Jacob Longbrake is glad to be back at Indian Lake Schools. Jacob is an ILHS Class of 2000 graduate who is now the Assistant Director of Technology for the district. Longbrake served 16 years in the Navy. He was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, but deployed to places such as Iraq and Guam. He finished his tour in 2021 and used the GI Bill to earn a degree in History. However, a fellow Laker recruited him to learn information technology skills and Jacob has spent the last several years working in school IT at districts near Dayton.
Longbrake and his wife live in the Minster area and they are raising two kids. Outside of school, Jacob enjoys sporting clays shooting, woodworking, building electric guitars, fishing and bowling.
Miss Callie Notestine is very excited to be setting up her very first classroom ever! Callie is a 2022 ILHS graduate who recently earned degrees in Primary Education and Special Education from Capital University. She recently completed her student-teaching at Bexley City Schools and has been a periodic sub at Indian Lake while on breaks from college. And yes, she is the daughter of longtime Indian Lake Vocal Music teacher, Mrs. Tracey Notestine.
Notestine enjoys going on walks with friends and taking care of her many indoor plants. Callie says she is pumped to be working at her alma mater, Go Lake!
Mr. Isaac Roby is grateful to be teaching alongside two people who influenced him to enter the field of education. Roby is the new Biology teacher at ILHS. He is just down the hall from Chemistry/Physics teacher Mr. Matt Steinbarger who encouraged him to become an educator during his time in his high school science classes. Roby is also right around the corner from Mr. Ryan Lillard, who influenced him to be a coach.
Roby recently graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Life Sciences and Chemistry Education. He also plans to earn the necessary certification to ensure his science classes count toward college credit for his future students. This fall, Roby is serving as an ILMS Football Coach. He also coaches ACME baseball in the summer.
Isaac is engaged to be married to another 2021 Laker alum in May. He says he is excited to help grow the future generations of this great community.
Mrs. Brooke Lowe recently handled her first day back to school with flying colors! Mrs. Lowe is the new ILMS Secretary and so far, nothing can rattle her. Brooke is from Gnadenhutten, in eastern Ohio. She earned her degree from Bluffton University, which is where she met her husband. Brooke comes to us having worked in an office at a large local manufacturing company.
Mrs. Lowe is happily married with two lovely daughters. Her oldest just experienced her first day of school too, in ILES kindergarten. Brooks loves spending time with her family, being outside and having movie nights.
