Indian Lake High School Cross Country Coach Justin Metzger recently presented 2011 graduate Rachel (Watt) Clark her Indian Lake Athletic Hall of Fame photo during the Cross Country awards banquet. Rachel was honored for being an All Ohio Cross Country runner and for her appearances at the state track meet.
Coach Metzger explained, “This has been a long process to get the picture on the wall. I was the assistant cross country coach in 2008 when Rachel was selected First Team All Ohio. I realized in 2017 when I started teaching at Indian Lake that her picture wasn't on the wall. After talking to current Indian Lake Athletic Director Jeff Courter he thought it was probably missed between his and the former athletic director’s transition. Images had deleted her head shot off their database. We were able to find the picture from Aaron Labatt at the Examiner in his old records. Images cropped and printed the photo and we put it up today! “

State Appearances:
2008 5,000 m 15th at State 19:24 *First-Team All-Ohio (her PR is 19:13 and she is 2nd on top-performances of all-time list)
2008 1,600 m 9th at State 5:13 in track
2009 1,600 m 15th at State 5:29 in track
In her career at Indian Lake High School Watt was Valedictorian of the class of 2011 and involved in track and field, cross country and basketball, NHS, Key Club, SADD, Varsity "L" Club, Student Council Vice President, United Way Youth Allocations, Youth Leadership, Science Club, Spanish Club, 500 Mile Club, Choir, Heifer International, Project More, and Youth Group.
Rachel has since graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University and a Master's Degree from the Ohio State University. She is currently an acute care nurse practitioner. Rachel is the daughter of Bob and Tammy Watt.
