The Indian Lake Local School District is considering a change to the ILHS Graduation date. Historically, we have held Commencement Ceremonies on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. The last day for Seniors in the 2015-16 school year is May 20th. Graduation is currently set for May 29th...a nine day wait.
Several other schools in Logan County have successfully moved their Graduation ceremonies to a Friday night. In addition, many Indian Lake area businesses have asked that the district change the commencement date from the busy holiday weekend. Finally, a move away from Memorial Day would make it easier for staff to attend this special event.
