The Indian Lake community celebrated their love of the Lakers with a Homecoming Community Parade and Pep Rally in Russells Point recently.

The theme was “Empty the Tank, Run Over the Arrows!” More than 30 floats featured a mode of transportation such as an Army truck, hot air balloon, race cars and boats.

Each high school grade level had a special float for their class attendant and several sports teams and staff groups had floats as well.

Homecoming Queen Kassidy Crockett rode in a classic car driven by her brother, Kurt, with escorts Natalie Harford and Ezra Kirkpatrick.

The Indian Lake Cheerleaders led a Pep Rally after the parade in the McDonalds overflow parking lot.

Indian Lake Schools will host Homecoming Pre-Game Festivities at Laker Stadium on Friday, September 20th. Spectator Gates open at 5:15 pm. The Parade of Cars featuring the Queen and her Court will begin at 6:10 pm. The Marching Lakers and the Alumni Band will play at 6:40 pm. Kick-off is at 7 pm.

Congratulations to Queen Kassidy Crockett, Senior Attendant McKenzee Lewis, Junior Kayli Barlow, Sophomore Ella Shoffstall and Freshman Tori Hurley!
The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, September 21st from 8-11 pm in the ILHS Auxiliary Gym.

Here are highlights from the parade.
