A healthy lifestyle involves many choices. Among them the availability of a variety foods and choosing a balanced diet or healthy eating plan. According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2015-2020, a healthy eating plan:
Areas of the County were identified in 2015 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as lacking access to affordable fruits, vegetables, whole grains,…and other foods that make up a full and healthy diet”.
Logan County Farmers Market (LCFM), WIC, the Logan County Health Department (LCHD), and Mary Rutan Hospital have designed a survey for residents and organizations to complete that will assist in planning and providing better access to fresh vegetables, fruits and whole grains which promote healthy eating.
