Lakers across the district are caring and sharing this Thanksgiving! The annual district-wide food drive brought in an estimated 5,000 pounds of food! Student Council members from ILHS, ILMS and ILES and Key Club members loaded up all the canned food items and nonperishables on Monday and delivered nearly six vehicles full of food to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in Russells Point.
ILHS Student Council advisor Andrea Jacobs says Indian Lake should be very proud of this effort, especially during the pandemic.
Several top-collecting classes at ILHS and ILMS will get to enjoy donuts after Thanksgiving break. All students at ILES will get an ice cream treat at lunch for helping reach their goal of filling 25 boxes.
It's time to stuff the Turkey at Indian Lake Schools!!
The ILHS Key Club and IL Student Councils are conducting a district-wide Food Drive this week! If possible, students are asked to bring in canned/boxed foods and non-perishable items. Everything will be donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank in Russells Point. The drive is going on now and will continue through Monday, November 22nd. Laker Time classes, homerooms and classrooms that bring in the most donations will win donuts!
Indian Lake students stuffed the giant wooden turkey, stuffed boxes and stuffed barrels all over campus this week for the district's annual Food Drive. The result was a truck stuffed full of food for folks in our area. ILHS Key Club members gathered up the donations and delivered them to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in Russells Point. Key Club is sponsoring donuts for each homeroom class at ILHS, ILMS and ILES that brought in the most nonperishables.
