Students across the Indian Lake district are celebrating Constitution Day! (one day late) September 17th is the anniversary of the ratification of the U.S. Constitution in 1787. Government students in Ed Rogers class received their "pocket Constitutions" to take home and practiced conflict resolution skills.  7th graders in Todd Dietz's ancient history class switched to US history for a day and did research on the Constitution, the preamble and the Bill of Rights. And 8th graders in Sarah Kinsey's American history class kicked off a lengthy unit on the events that led to the Revolutionary War, and eventually the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the creation of the Constitution.
