A message from Indian Lake's Nurse Kourtney:

We are fielding many questions about possible quarantines if you or a family member tests positive for Covid-19 using an at-home test kit. While we do not dispute the outcomes of these tests, the Logan County Health District advises Indian Lake Schools that users must follow the instructions carefully and results must be reported in order to qualify for medical quarantine leave.

There are instructions inside each test which advise the individual to download an app and proctor their test results. Those results are sent to the Ohio Department of Health, where a contact tracer will quickly contact the positive case. If the test is completed and uploaded to the app before 6 pm daily, it will be analyzed and an ODH contact tracer will be in touch by the end of the next business day. From there you will receive a release letter for isolation/quarantine to provide to your school office.

If a parent/student/staff member no longer has their test results and did not upload their results to the app, they must get another at-home test and follow the procedure OR be tested in a medical facility/pharmacy. At-home tests are free to pick up at the LCHD, Bellefontaine Library or Walgreens Drive Thru pharmacy.
