Thanksgiving Boxes
Several area families will have a hearty holiday meal with the help of an Indian Lake High School alumnus and her family.

1998 graduate Casey Ross-Patrick recently dropped off ten Thanksgiving Meal Boxes to Indian Lake Schools. This is the third year that the Patrick family from Columbus has collected monetary donations and assembled the Thanksgiving Meal Boxes. Casey, her husband Daniel, and their two young children work to purchase all the supplies, find families and get the boxes to those in need in many areas of Columbus.

With family still living in Logan County and involved at Indian Lake Schools, this is the second year Casey has reached out to help in her hometown.

Ross-Patrick explains, “We were fortunate to have large family holiday meals as children and we want to be able to share that with others. We want families to be able to gather around the table together for Thanksgiving and not worry about the food or the cost.”

The Thanksgiving Meal Boxes include a gift card to purchase a turkey or other perishables from a local grocer, plates, napkins, cutlery, a tablecloth and all the non-perishable foods like sweet potatoes, cake mixes and other personal touches needed for a complete Thanksgiving feast.

The boxes will be delivered to select IL families before Thanksgiving Break. Several more families in Logan County will receive the boxes through the Neighborhood Outreach Centers.

Through their strong faith the Ross-Patrick family is donating nearly 200 Thanksgiving Meal Boxes overall this season. If you’d like to support or learn more check out their campaign at https://www.gofundme.com/f/5dh6tj-thanksgiving-boxes-patrick-family
