Meal Delivery Meal DeliveryMeal DeliveryMeal DeliveryMeal Delivery **Update** Meals Deliveries are not on Mondays and Thursdays only. The Indian Lake Schools Food Service and Transportation Department, along with Educational Assistants teamed up to deliver more than 560 meals to students in our district today. The Food Service team, led by Susan Young, packed the meals ahead of time and the bus drivers, led by Pat Smith, drove the redesigned routes. Several administrators rode with the aides to help deliver and try to see how our students are getting along.
This was our first attempt and we really appreciate everyone's patience and efforts to follow the procedure to minimize contact. The leftover food was kept in coolers on the buses and was on the road for a short amount of time. As such, we can reuse some of it for future meals. We are already making some adjustments to better serve our students, but overall the first day went well. We do have a suggestion that came from a parent for those who live down a long lane; please place a box or cooler with the number of meals needed at the end of your lane. We will watch for those from now on and leave meals in the container. We will begin including breakfast items in the lunches on Friday.

Alright Lakers! Be watching for the bus!

Please check the Bus Route Summary below carefully as many routes have been merged. Usual morning bus stop locations will be used. All buses depart from IL campus at approximately 10:50. We will not be able to provide times, please watch for the bus to arrive. We believe that deliveries will be regulate and become more predictable after the first few days.

You may see more than one bus pass you by on the way to its assigned area. Please do not attempt to board the bus, meals will be dropped off for you.

Here is the procedure we would like you to follow to minimize contact:

-Be watching for the bus out your window or at your normal morning bus stop

-When you see the bus stop at your location, come outside and signal to the driver how many meals you need

-The bus aide will leave the meals in the driveway or at the stop

-Once the bus aide leaves the meals, please proceed to gather the meals, taking care not to get near the bus for safety
