Ribbons all around for the students who took part in the first ever CBC Cup!

More than 170 athletes and student coaches participated in the inaugural event at Bellefontaine High School recently, including many students from the ILHS SWD classrooms. (Some competed for Indian Lake, while other competed for their respective home schools.) The friendly competition featured students with disabilities from 12 area high schools doing their very best in events like soccer goal kick, disk golf, beanbag toss, football throw, 100-meter dash, basketball, softball hitting and more!
The CBC Cup began with a Parade of Teams through the gym and then team introductions. Then athletes competed in the activities with the help of their student-athlete volunteer coaches. The BHS student body, family members and friends were invited to cheer them on!
As their t-shirts say, "The best part of the game... is the opportunity to play!"
Indian Lake Athletic Director Jeff Court hailed the CBC Cup as a success and gives credit to all CBC Athletic Directors for creating and organizing the event. Thanks to BHS for hosting and to all the local sponsors!
