Indian Lake High School Sophomore Allix Cotterman earned First Place in the AgriScience Research Animal Science proficiency area at the State FFA Convention Friday afternoon. Because she excelled with her goldfish centered science fair project last year, she decided to apply for the agriscience system area award. She was selected as a top four finisher in the state and interviewed earlier in the week with a panel of judges. Cotterman's winning application is now forwarded to the National FFA. She will find out this summer of she gets to advance to the National FFA Convention in October.

Cotterman is part of the Ohio Hi-Point-Indian Lake High School FFA Chapter. She is advised by Tanner Schoen.

In addition, Indian Lake had 4 other Agrisicence Fair Projects that qualified for the state contest held at the State FFA Convention. Allix Cotterman and Nikita Scheifele ranked gold (up from silver last year), Jacob King was silver (up from bronze last year), Kayla Cummins and Kaley Rice ranked bronze and Brittany Sturms was also a bronze. Proud of the kids for putting in a lot of hours after school and presenting their projects to judges!
