Members of the Class of 2019 are official Indian Lake alumni!
The Indian Lake Local School community said best wishes and best of luck to their Seniors during a Sunday Graduation ceremony.
Class Co-President Colin Powers recapped their school careers to open the commencement ceremony. He said, “Let the legacy of our class be how well we treated others and how well we represented our school.”
Senior Class Co-President Jacob Zarnosky got the honor of introducing commencement speaker and local engineer Dave Yanchik.

A self-proclaimed “under achiever” as a young student, Yanchik urged the students to use their commencement as a chance to “get off on the right foot of life.” He stressed three points; Something can always be learned from any situation, take on tasks that no one else wants, and if it doesn’t kill you it will make your stronger.

Yanchik told the graduates, “By taking that plunge and doing things that no one else wants to do…it helped me stand out. That will benefit you.”
The
Valedictorian representing the Class of 2019 is Colin Powers, with Salutatorian Jacob Zarnosky. Anna Peterman, Tiana Hughes, Lindsay Berg, Ashlyn Huffer, Laura Downey, Deanna Fry, Ethan Rick Cummins and Trenton Devine rounded out the top ten.
